Meet Joy Brutus, MAT

Joy Brutus is a certified Illinois educator, Studio Teacher, and Child Welfare Compliance Specialist with more than 27 years of experience in education and extensive experience across television, film, streaming productions, commercials, and theatre.

As an IATSE Local 476 member, Joy partners with production teams, Assistant Directors, UPMs, parents, guardians, schools, and young performers to support educational continuity, child welfare, and compliance with Illinois child labor requirements.

Her approach is calm, collaborative, child-centered, and production-minded.

Because successful work with minors requires more than compliance—it requires preparation, collaboration, and care.
